Valve puts two Steam Deck LCD models on sale for Steam's birthday

I think my best memory was quite recent. I'd just bought Helldivers 2, joined my mates on a co-op game and we had a blast. And then it struck me that I'd bought the game, hit "install" and then "play" and that was it. That was all I did. And this was normal. On Linux.

Just a mad coincidence, I'm sure.

Quoting: EagleDeltaThere are publishers who have removed a game from Steam and also removed it to download. It's rare, but it does happen.

Which one? So far I've only seen removed depots and I haven't checked whether they could be extracted from older manifests.
I only know of one instance of this, when Driver: San Francisco was delisted entirely.

This one and the games EagleDelta mentioned all show up the same in SteamDB. Depots still exist, but give a download size of 0. However, SteamDB still lists all the files with sizes. Only one old manifest from 2014 left though. I do wonder what would happen if you manually downloaded it.
I believe that while you can technically download it, the underlying Ubi services won't work now. It still downloads uPlay, which wants to update to some new version, but when it does, it doesn't recognise the installer.

Internet forums basically suggest illegally (or legally?) emulating the xbox360 version, or downloading a pirated copy that removes uPlay. I last played this back in 2018, and I honestly can't remember how I got it working again.

I feel another playthrough coming on!

This game is the only reason I still keep my Xbox 360 around.

Incidentally, Siege is the only reason I keep Windows around. It's always Ubisoft games, isn't it...
Yeah, Driver was particularly painful as it's absolutely superb. One of a few, select games I've played through more than once. I read a documentary on it recently that claimed that the average playthrough only gets to hear a tiny portion of the literally hundreds of hours of voice acting that went into the game. Sometimes I'd just ghost-hover over a target vehicle to hear the conversations!

The save Team Fortress 2 petition lands at Valve HQ with over 340,000 names

I really, really want to say "no-one cares, lol", because I, specifically, don't care. But clearly over a quarter of a million people really, really care, so what do I know?

I'll be over here, playing Tactical Breach Wizards, waiting for Space Marine 2 to go on sale, because I'm too bitter about the £25 early access bullshit to actually pay full price for it now. I'm so petty - I'd have happily dropped the full £55 on Friday to play it, but they had to cash-grab, and now my goddam principles are throwing them a middle finger. And launching on a Monday? Yeah, okay Focus. You got at least 130000 people to buy early access (according to SteamDB on Saturday), so you don't care as you go to bed on your essentially "free" £3.25M, but you ain't getting my £55 now. Hope you're happy. (Narrator: they're very happy).

I guess you can set it to whatever you need. I use CTRL-PAGEUP for marking, and CTRL-PAGEDOWN for capture. I just don't use it very often though (see my Microphone comment above), so I don't know other keys are matching that combination and triggering.

If I try to set it to Ctrl-PageDown by pressing the keybinding in the box it enters it as Ctrl+'

I'm getting the exact same behaviour 😬, haven't actually set a keybind as a result, would need to test if it actually works, despite showing random keys when setting up.

For example, my numpad numbers are entered as ABCDEF.. so weird.

Yeah, so they enter weirdly during the assignment, but when you exit that config box, they should show up normally.

Quoting: sobkasSo does anyone know a good replacement for Lutris that isn't Heroic Games Launcher?
I jumped to Heroic a couple of months ago and it's a breath of fresh air. But if it's not for you, I suppose Arch Wiki has you covered. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Gaming

There's a section on launchers in there.

Edit - oh, and I just noticed that Liam covered another alternative earlier today!
