Nice, but I wonder why they didn't go with Mesa 24.2. Mesa 24.1 is already quite old at this point.

Valve (Steam) begin a direct collaboration with Arch Linux

That would sadly damage regular Linux desktop and its gaming usage as a whole so I really hope it is not the case.

Quoting: scaineIf we're being optimistic about that secure signing piece targeting better anti-cheat, I'd suggest that Valve are looking to out-perform Windows in that regard, and turn SteamOS into THE trusted way to prevent cheating on any given game. Make it as trusted as a console, or more so if possible.

It's a shame that it officially supports only Windows. I am still waiting for something like Steam Deck, but more lightweight (yet still powerful), more compact and more suitable for travelling. Not sure about this Zotac handheld, but I have already seen some Chinese ones that did look like something I wish for, sadly they all supported Windows, but not Linux. And although something like ChimeraOS would probably run fine on most of them, I want to be sure before I purchase one. I do not want another Linux computer that I have to take care of in case of hardware (or other) issues. I want a gaming handheld that works without issues (ideally all the time) and can be used to seamlessly play my favourite games on.
