Valve heads to PAX Australia for the first time, maybe they'll finally get the Steam Deck

There is a lot of places where Valve should be selling their hardware, but strangely don't. Here in Brazil, Asus and Lenovo sell their consoles officially. Steam is a big hit here, but Valve never sold hardware. My Steam Controller I had to got trough Amazon, paying almost double the asking price in taxes and delivery. There is now way I can justify to myself doing that on a Steam Deck.

The principal character reminds me of a mix of Cowboy Bebop(the anime) and Rolling Thunder(the game).

Wishlisted. It is a Linux native game and also have David Wise on the soundtrack? Almost made me buy it despite the overprice in my home currency.

For those who don't know, the original is a hidden gem on the NES, since it saw a very limited launch outside japan and was probably the best game Sunsoft ever made. And for those thinking it is just a cheap Nintendo's Kirby knock-off, it was launched first and is as good of a game as the famous Nintendo platformer.

Steam will now show you who is playing on Steam Deck

You bet that was added by the marketing dep request. If it will led to increased sales, time will tell.

This reminds me of a scene in the 1985's movie "The Return of the Living Dead". There is a big cannon firing a nuclear warhead. At the time I though it was fake, a prop from a B trash movie. But a couple years ago to my big surprise, I discovered that thing really exists. Its name is M65 atomic cannon. It does not have range to reach meteorites in space on collision course with Earth, but still is a impressive thing.

Quoting: scaine
Quoting: sarmadCan someone explain what's wrong with Denuvo? Does it work on Linux/Proton or not?

3. What it's designed to do, which is prevent you "activating" the game more than 5 times. Probably not a huge issue normally, but if you play about with different versions of Proton, every time you delete your prefix (the PFX folder), you're re-activating the game on a "new PC", which will eventually lock you out of the game.

I have been bitten by that, on the original Crysis game. Luckily I got it again on GOG.com at a dirt cheap price. So yeah, stay away from any game with Denuvo or its cousins.

Quote“We’re aiming to be as authentic as possible, stylistically: an 8-bit color palette, 320x180 pixel resolution, and a soundtrack composed in Famitracker

Well, NES games did have big limitations in the ROM size, so I guess that is a area where is better to everyone to not pursuit authenticity too much. Altough it would put a big smile in my face if there was a port of this game to make it run on real NES hardware.

I too wishlisted it.

John Carpenter's movies do have a "B Grade" quality on them, but that should not stop people to give them a chance. They can have a great screenplays and casting choices. Besides The Thing, another example is Escape From New York. A film that not only influenced others that came after it, but heavily inspired Hideo Kojima in the creation of Solid Snake in his Metal Gear series.

Quoting: CatKiller~10% of game sessions on Steam are done with a controller, and ~24% of those are with a PlayStation controller (and it's a personal peeve when games just have Xbox glyphs). You definitely don't want to miss out on those, plus it's an accessibility thing for some players. Glad to hear you're on the case.

Just surrender to XYAB, you dirt console peasant.

Jokes aside, I used to think like you when I got a DS4 controller. But with time I realized it is unproductive, since you will get screwed in the game if you stop to think about where the button is. It is specially confusing when you play a game that have Xbox symbols, then another that have Playstation symbols.

Now that I have a 8bitdo Pro 2 joypad, and this one have Nintendo's YXBA symbols, I just forget about it and treat it like a Xbox controller, pressing the appropriate button from muscle memory. Much faster and hassle free.

Lets hope this one will not have the same level of bugs the previous games are infamous for.

While it is spoken on Ukranian, there is official subtitles in Russian, so at least there is rope it will be a option in the game.
