Lutris game manager v0.5.14 adds EA App integration, expanded Flatpak support

Perhaps a stupid question, but what's the purpose of adding your Steam games to Lutris? Steam already has Proton integration, so what's the benefit?

NVIDIA releases open source Linux GPU kernel modules, Beta Driver 515.43.04 out

It's a great step forward. But don't have overly high expectations. Christian's blogpost summarizes it well. This is just the kernel part, and that's just one piece of the puzzle. Also it's not a true community development repo, they'll only add a single commit for each new release dump, i.e. amdvlk-style. It will certainly help things a lot, but it's definitely not on par with AMD/Intel support for Linux. Hopefully Nvidia continues to improve in this direction.

Sorry Arch (EndeavourOS), it's not working out any more and hello Fedora

QuoteFedora does come with some of its own issues, like NVIDIA drivers being a nuisance to install, which they definitely should improve. If other distributions can do one-click or one-line installs, I'm sure they could do it too.
It's basically one click if you install Fedora Workstation (GNOME). You basically agree with third-party repos during the first boot, and then search and install nvidia drivers in gnome-software, that's it. Workstation is generally more polished than KDE, which is basically just a high-profile spin.

QuoteHowever, it's just another point towards me swapping to AMD when prices settle, or perhaps Intel when Arc properly launches for desktop.
Yes, definitely go Radeon, you'll not regret it.

QuoteIt's somewhat amusing that the blog post starts with "Dear gamers", which probably isn't going to do them any favours in such a legal battle.
What's wrong with Dear gamers?

Valve officially launches the Steam News Hub

News Hub is helpful, but unfortunately it doesn't show your friends' activity. And so it's not a full replacement for the older activity feed.

VKD3D-Proton is the new official Direct3D 12 to Vulkan layer for Proton

Sigh, it's very sad they couldn't come to any agreement with Wine folks and we have yet another duplication of effort, similarly to DXVK This approach also doesn't allow things to work out of the box with vanilla wine, just in Steam or if you modify each wine prefix. I understand the goal of each project is probably different, but still, it's sad we can't have this upstream in Wine.
