Check out Proton-Sarek if you have an older GPU for Windows games on Linux

Quoting: StellaThat's cool, but i'm wondering how much 'older' does a gpu need to be to not support Vulkan 1.3?

Older Intel iGPUs (4th gen and older) are effected. Sure you can't play the latest AAA games on the anyways, but I use one for a TV Streaming PC and recently notice that Proton version 8/9 don't work on it for indie games that run fine.

I hope this special Proton build will be added to Proton-Up-qt soon.

Anyone happen to know how the HORI wheel support is these days? The one I have comes with PS3/PS4 and some generic mode and I had some partially success using it on Linux some years back, but it wasn't really that enjoyable due to various issues.

Maybe time to try it again with this nice tool?

Are there any details available how to run the server side parts of this "multiplayer" mode? Or is it all closed-source and they are trying to vendor lock-in people?

Anyone spotted the GPL source-code for this already? Would be nice to see what modifications their did to GZdoom.

NVIDIA switching to open kernel modules by default in future driver update for Turing+

Hate to break it to people, but gaming is irrelevant to Nvidia decision making these days. This is all about GPUs in datacenters for AI and so on. Supporting the open kernel module just makes it more hassle-free for these large scale customers that pretty much all run some custom Linux version.

Always nice to see games explicitly going for a non-generic setting. It's kind of sad that even games developed outside the US often end up going for what seems like a generic but heavily US influenced setting.
