Does anyone know how this game compares to Zero-K? I spent a lot of time playing Zero-K last year and it become one of my favourite games. Special mention to the huge and diverse singleplayer campaign, which these kind of games usually lack. Kudos to the developers.

I did the same on Fedora a few years ago and it was a terrible experience. It was probably a problem particular to my setup however. The game ran faster than normal but with constant chopping. The worst motion sickness I can remember.

I played the game recently. It was leftovers from some bundle and my expectations were low, but I was wrong. Behind the rough interface you can find a deep strategy game with lots of mechanics well connected. Also some minor bugs. Looking forward to play this new DLC.

I'm currently playing Celeste and I'm very impressed because 2D-impossible-parkour is not a genre I usually enjoy, but there's a lot of dedication to the small details and the gameplay feels great. They managed to keep it difficult but also accessible and not frustrating. 100% recommended.

Big respect for Flycast. It powers the Soul Reaver HD remaster, the best way to play one of my all-time favourites.

I have many computers around still using HDDs and with no plans to upgrade, they are totally usable with Xfce or Mate. My main desktop computer uses mostly SSDs except for the home partition and it is able to start any software instantly, except KDE and Eclipse.
Even the bloated Gnome is able to boot much faster than KDE on the same hardware, but I won't insist on the topic since many people seem to be okay with that. It's a feature, not a bug.

Quoting: ShmerlI think by today's standards HDDs are horribly slow for boot times anyway. Why would you want to boot from one? Booting / startup is the most I/O intensive phase. SSDs are totally a huge benefit for that.
